Seminole Financial Services Announces New Staff Additions

Belleair Bluffs, FL – May 1, 2012 –

Seminole Financial Services (“Seminole”) is pleased to announce the addition of two new key professionals to the Seminole team.

 

Mike Henderson – Senior Investment Officer
Mike joins Seminole Financial Services as a Senior Investment Officer. With over 30 years of experience in financing multifamily, senior, and healthcare projects in the United States. Mike’s previous experience includes Newman and Associates (a privately held investment bank) where he served as a partner and founded Newman Mortgage Securities, serving as its Executive Vice President. He also assisted in founding Newman Capital, a billion-dollar multifamily mortgage trust. Mike remained with Newman when it was sold to GMAC in 1998, and when GMAC Commercial Mortgage was sold to KKR and Goldman Sachs in 2005. Mike has financed projects in 29 different states, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of National Multihousing Counsel, NHRA, The National Seniors Housing Association, and the Health Care Study Group, and has published articles in five different national real estate journals. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in history, an MBA, and completed the requirements for his Master’s in Accountancy at Florida State. Mike will assist Seminole in the origination of new real estate loans and the provide asset management services for Seminole’s real estate and renewable energy portfolios in the western United States. Mike will be based in Denver, Colorado.

 

Scott Macdonald – Vice President, Asset Management and Underwriting
Scott Macdonald has joined Seminole Financial Services as a member of its Asset Management and Underwriting Department in the capacity of Vice President. Prior to joining Seminole, the Massachusetts native worked on distressed development loans in Tampa’s Bank of America commercial real estate workout group. His previous experience includes six years in commercial real estate banking at Bank of America, including three years underwriting and managing development and acquisition loans in Boston, Massachusetts. Scott graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from Boston University, and has just earned his MBA from the University of Florida. Scott will be based in Seminole’s corporate offices located in Belleair Bluffs, Florida.
